Susie McCollum is a multifaceted artist who proudly defies categorization. Hailing from New York City, Susie brings a soulful and poignant voice to the indie scene, drawing inspiration from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Norah Jones, and Janis Ian. Her music is a reflection of the emotions often left unspoken, fueled by compassion, wit, and an insatiable curiosity.

Susie's artistic journey is as diverse as her sound. From studying opera, musical theater, jazz, and folk to immersing herself in pop music, her eclectic background shines through in her music. Songwriting remained a quiet yet consistent practice throughout her upbringing, providing a deeply personal and therapeutic outlet. It wasn't until the pandemic that Susie taught herself guitar, igniting a new chapter in her musical evolution.

In 2022, Susie released her debut single "New Year’s Eve," praised by A&R Factory as a "part-love song, part-indie-soulful ode to bittersweet tradition." She has since shared stages with artists like Marielle Kraft, Christopher, and Nep, whilst most recently collaborating with indie-pop musician Jenny Kern on "I Should Lose You." Not content with just performing, Susie has also honed her production skills, working as a freelance audio engineer for Audiotree Studios in Chicago, IL.

From her (forever) unreleased GarageBand gem "PANCAKE" to the tracks on her upcoming EP, Susie’s music aims to foster emotional intimacy with both herself and her audience.

Susie’s debut EP “Tempt My Fate” dropped on September 6th, 2024, and is available on all streaming platforms. The music video for “You’re In My Head” (Official Music Video) is now on YouTube.
